Frustration Thread.

What's happening in your life that's driving you crazy? It could be a long term thing or something that's just happened.

For example, I got all dressed up for the snow and cycled very carefully all the way to the big Tesco store. I spent about an hour wandering around and filling my basket - this included a Valentine's card.

I got to the checkout, unloaded my basket, went to get my wallet - which wasn't there. :x

I was 99% certain that it was in the pocket of the jeans I'd been wearing yesterday, but there's always that doubt.

So I put everything back, cycled home and sure enough, there it was.

I guess I should really be relieved - and I am.

But still!

Oh no. That's a nightmare.

I did that once. I was doing some DIY so I put some work jeans on (the ones covered in paint and with holes in etc) and forgot to put my wallet in the pocket.

Went over to B&Q and spent the best part of an hour filling up the trolley. I got to the checkout before I realised. I explained what had happened and they agreed to keep the trolley to one side while I got my wallet. Drove home picked up the wallet and went back to the store only to find that they had put everything back and so I had to start shopping again. By the time I had finished and got home again it was too late to do any DIY!

Well girls have handbags (especially Dotsie  ), so that's less common for us. But this morning Mr Dotsie realised that he won't be able to get home today, as it's snowed too much in the night between home & Cambridgeshire, where he works in the week. Work texted him to say that they're closed for the day.

So he has to sit there twiddling his thumbs, but if he'd driven up last night there wouldn't have been a problem! Grrr!

That sucks Dotsie. :( Sorry to hear it.

As to handbags - the times I've had to go looking in Sharlene's handbag for things! It's a bit like the TARDIS - nothing should be that big on the inside. We've sometimes looked in there three times for things and not found them, only to find them there all the time on the fourth look.

Ahh, yes H-Space :) many a time i have unpacked the entire contents of my handbag in search of something or other only to find it instantly right on top on second inspection.

Went to pick up a package from the post office today and after waiting in line forever due to their only having 2 tellers open, i finally got to the front and as soon as the next teller became available he decided he was off to lunch... needless to say the gent at the other teller had a box full of stuff to send and a handfull of collections... I spent the time productively filling the suggestion box.

i would try to inspire them with Going Postal but i want to see how my Anonymous threats in the suggestion box work out first

Aw that's soooo annoying!

I used to work in the post office and always remember how people used to go crazy when the person in front of them would pull out the paperwork to tax a dozen cars.

That is one of the reasons I avoid PO queues with men in them. :D :D

Has anyone else left their card in the machine? I've done it twice, fortunately at my local Post Office where I'm well known for my senior moments.
That's not what I came here for. I didn't know where to post a request to the mods or whoever does the techie bits but I'd like a 'Thanks' box on each posting. There are so many great ones here that often the only reply is 'Thanks' and a Smiley. :D

I've only done that once with my card and thankfully the assistant had it.

I, as moderator have no control over additions like you mention to the site and I think that Jason is limited to what he can do. The site belongs to Transworld, Terry's UK publishers and they have their own techie people. :)

I didn't know that Tony. I thought it was one of the usually free forums, but then, I really should have realised it was a private one from the lack of adverts  I guess I'm so used to ignoring them, it didn't register.  :)

Yes indeed. We're official. If you go to terrypratchett.co.uk you'll see the main site for which this forum is part of. There's a whole stack of information about Terry's books there as well. :D
