The Discworld Diaries were originally published by Gollancz. Some time ago there was a discussion here about whether to continue producing diaries and a decision was made not to go on with them.

Does any Discworld fan actually USE a paper diary these days? I haven't for years. Or is this something that would be nice for collectors of Discworld "extras"?

I don't think Discworld fans would ever actually write in one. I wouldn't :)

They're for having.

Good lord, you'll be suggesting that the Discworld calendar is for hanging on the wall next. :o

I never owned a discworld diary, but I do write in paper diaries. I have to I have a terrible memory. Though I've recently discovered it would be caused by either an over-active or an under-active thyroid, so maybe I can be cured. :)

I use outlook as well, but only because my paper diary doesn't do reminders. I'm thinking of investing in a Gooseberry Dis-Organiser :D

But I do keep them afterwards too.
It is fun looking back over.

I always use the diaries. For today I wrote a reminder to pick up some photos.
And I keep them afterwards.

So, if I understand quite well, there will be no further diaries?

There will be no more diaries. We have reached the end of diaries.
What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

I just got funny looks in the office. I was trying not to laugh and what escaped my lips was like a squeeky-fart noise.

 LOL

I think what was said was - there are no more plans by Transworld to make any more diaries, rather than there will be no more diaries. Given the fact that it's well into September, I think it highly unlikely that there will be a 2009 Diary published by anyone.

I wonder if Transworld realise that lots of collectors actually buy two diaries - one to use and one to keep in pristine condition. :?
