Perhaps it'd be even funnier if there was a link to or at least the name of the original song and by whom it is. Breakfast at Tiffany's is easy, Don't blame the Weatherwax seems a bit familiar, but What's the Colour of Magic doesn't ring a bell.

Ah, thanks Tony.
The other one is called Blame it on the Weatherman originally.

Don't fear the Reaper - great choice and without the need for poetic licence. :D Great song, too.

OK, since BÖC was mentioned, this time with poetic licence, alluding to the dialogue between Colon and Nobby in Jingo:
Blue Möllusc Cult - Altronomy (BÖC - Astronomy)
MetallicA - The four horsemen
Tori Amboss - Can't see Morpork (Tori Amos' dwarf double on the disc, it seems. Original song "Can't see New York")
Iron Maiden - Eighth son of an eighth son (Seventh son of a seventh son on roundworld)

A poster outside one shop urged people to Dig For Victory, as if it were some kind of turnip.
