I wanted to be a monkey (when I was about five) and then I wanted to be a zookeeper, and then something equestrian, and then I settled on art.

Now I'm doing Silversmithing BA(hons) and writing and painting in my spare time.

I nearly applied to do performance costume, but then I remembered how frustrating I find sewing machines and also that I wouldn't be able to wear any of the costumes I made.

When I was very young I wanted to work in a pickled onion factory, then I wanted to be a police officer, which lasted a good few years. Then I did a microbiology module in my biology A-level, and I was absolutely mad for it. So I chucked all my career plans in the bin, and spent a frantic week phoning round universities (I hadn't applied because I didn't think I wanted to go). I got a place in clearing. Phew!
