First thing that sprang to my mind was Hot Millions,but ruled that out immediately(too modern looking).
Then thought maybe War Games,but apparantly that's out too.
I'm not up on the more modern flics so much,so i'll do a complete guess and venture V for Vendetta?

Actually. it was the 'newer film' thing that clinched it for me. I was thinking older cause the shot you posted made it look like an old sci-fi film

Yes, hooray! raptornx1 has got it! It's The Matrix. Specifically, the bit where Neo goes through the metal detector in the lobby of the building where Morpheus is being held. I love the dialogue that follows (copied from IMDB)...
